Family dentist dies in auto accident

DANBURY, Va.

(AP) The family dentist who was killed when his car struck a tree has died.

The Richmond Times Dispatch reports Robert T. Anderson was pronounced dead at a hospital Tuesday afternoon.

He was 61.

A man who lives next door to Anderson’s home in the town of Danburys home town said he saw a large tree fall from a nearby fence onto the garage.

The man, who asked to remain anonymous, said Anderson and his wife were cleaning out the garage last week when they lost control of their car and struck a rock.

He said Anderson was a longtime family dentist and a good friend.

His wife was unharmed and his children were unharried.

The family’s son, Robert Anderson Jr., said he and his mother were working the garage when the accident occurred.

He said his father had been an auto mechanic.
