Manassa, VA (NBC10) – A family dentist in the Rockland County town of Manassah has died after being shot at his home, authorities said.
Authorities say Keith Pfeiffer, 63, was shot with a pellet gun at his family’s home early Sunday morning.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say they have no suspects in the case.
A man who lived in the home where Pfeffer was shot told investigators he saw a man with a gun around 2:30 a.m.
Saturday.
The man said he saw Pfeffer approach the door and open the door, but he did not see Pfeffee.
The victim said Pfeffe was a regular customer of his family and they always made fun of his accent.
The man said Pffeff was a man who never complained about his dental work, and always made sure his customers got the best care.
The family is planning to honor Pfeifeers memory at a candlelight vigil on Tuesday night.
